Research Topic
From December 1937 - December 2009, Disney has been teaching the world to whistle while they work, reach for their dreams, and wish upon a star. But if Disney's audience is the people of the world, why are their only 4 princesses of different races? And (finally) in 2009, the first African American princess appeared on the screen. But why? Disney has been around for more than 100 years. What makes 2009 different from 1999? or 1989? These are the things I'm trying to find out.
